Police have arrested three people on charge of gangrape in Rajshahi district.
The incident took place at Munti’s garden at Dhamila Laddu intersection area under Dewpara union of Godagari upazila in the district on Saturday night.
The three arrested persons are Shukur, 40, Rony, 30 and Babu, 45.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kashiadanga Police Station SM Masud Parvez said the victim was a resident of Tanore Upazila in Rajshahi.
She lives at Kasiadanga area of Rajshahi city and sell vegetables. The victim alleged that she was violated when she went to collect the money of vegetables. Police arrested the trio following her verbal complaint with Kashiadanga police station.
Godagari Police Station OC Khairul Islam said the victim filed a case with the police station.
The arrested were sent to jail on Sunday afternoon following a court order and the victim was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for medical test, OC Khairul said.
