More than one lakh installations in the port city now under earthquake risk .
These installations located in Chittagong port, airport, oil refineries and power plants , the speakers in a seminar told.
The speakers in the seminar said if any tremor with 8.5 rector scale , these entire installation will be destroyed. The specialists on earth quake were addressing a seminar arranged at Ctg engineers institute as arranged by Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology on Tuesday. Engr. Manzare Khurshid Alam presided over the seminar .
Vice chancellor of CUET Prof Dr. Jahangir alam presented keynote paper on the seminar. The keynote speaker said there is a fault zone in Bangladesh Myanmar border line and there is every possible of tremor with 8 rector scale.
