Many songs were composed by Ekushey Award winner noted music director and composer Sujeyo Shyam under the banner of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra to inspire the freedom fighters during the War of Independence. The less disseminated four songs and a song titled Bijoy Nishan Urchhey Oi have been composed with new dimension to telecast on Bangladesh Television. Produced by Mahbuba Ferdous title of the programme is Bijoy Nishan Urchhey Oi.
Last week under the hosting by Anima Mukti with the presence of Sujeyo Shyam, Rajib, Rashed, Sabbir, Naurin, Pulock, Liza and Badhon gave their voices in these songs.
While talking about these songs Sujeyo Shyam told this correspondent, “It is very positive approach for BTV for telecasting such songs of our Victory Day. I give thanks to BTV authority in this regard. In fact, through telecasting these songs the new generation will be able to inform about our War of Independence and also about freedom fighters. The singers who lent their voices in these songs they rendered really well.”
Singer Liza shared her feelings by this way, “It is really a pride for us to get the opportunity to render Sujeyo Shyam-composed songs on the occasion of our Victory Day. BTV authority will get appreciation in this regard.”
Producer Mahbuba Ferdous informed that Bijoy Nishan Urchhey Oi will be telecast today at 8:15am and 2:50pm on BTV.
