JP Chief and the prime minister’s special envoy HM Ershad said, there is no need to deploy troops in Rangpur City Corporation [RCC] poll. The election will be held peacefully and neutrally. He hoped that JP mayoral candidate will the poll with huge margin of votes.
The JP Chief was speaking to the journalists at his Rangpur residence, Palli Nibash at Darshona of the city on Monday noon. He reached Rangpur this noon.
Ershad told that he came to Rangpur to cast his vote in the city poll; he will leave Rangpur on November 22.
He said, there is no need to deploy troops in the city poll. City poll will held peacefully and fairly. But, we don’t know what the election commission will do in the national election.
