Sheikh Arif Bulbon :Sharmeen Fahmi, hailed from Brahmanbaria, is not like them who start working in media without having any training on acting. After completing a six-month workshop on acting from Prachyanat School of Acting and Design and also learning acting from theatre troupe, Palakar for one year Sharmeen Fahmi showed keen interest to work. For this reason, for last couple of years Sharmeen has established herself in the field of acting. Sharmeen has several good numbers of works now. She has already got the scope to work in a dual role in a serial. Under the direction of Ali Sujon she will work in an ongoing serial titled Megh O Porir Golpo on Bangladesh Television. Therefore, she is also acting in Anjan Aich’s Virus on Asian TV and Channel i’s ongoing serial Mohor Ali now. Basically Sharmeen Fahmi does not believe to become superstar within very short time. In this regard she is preparing herself slowly in media. While talking about her present position in media Sharmeen Fahmi told this correspondent, “During my childhood I learnt Rabindra Sangeet at Chhayanaut. But I had dreamt to establish myself as an actress. To fulfill my dream, I am on the way. The persons who are cooperating me in this regard I am really grateful to them. Now I always feel comfortable to introduce myself as an actress as my identity at all.”After finishing honours and master degrees from Eden College Sharmeen Fahmi recently completed MBA from a private university. In 2006, she started her acting career by a serial Shimana on Channel i. Her acted popular serials are: Irani Biswas’ PhD Salman, Shahriar Nazim Joy’s Ghorwali Porwali, Sabur Khan’s Daag, etc.As a model, Sharmeen’s presence on the screen under Kazi Ilias Kollol’s direction in a TV commercial of Seven Rings Cement impressed the viewers. While on the way of her life she yet not engaged with someone till now. If she likes somebody she wants to tie the nuptial knot with him. But when it will be happened time will say, Sharmeen said.
