For the first time Abdullah Al Mamun Theatre School is introducing Diploma course in theatre studies by taking affiliation from the National University.
The School offered one year certificate course for the last 25 years. The new one year diploma classes will commence from February 2016, says a press release.
The School has already been shifted to the 4th floor of the newly constructed Mahila Samity building at New Bailey Road. Besides outdoor assignments, the classes will be held on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Reputed theatre personalities, university teachers and theatre teachers will take classes.
Interested students have been advised to collect application form from Theatre Corner (New Bailey Road), Pathak Samabesh (Aziz Supermarket, Shahbag), Chilekotha (Shilpakala Academy) or Theatre School office and send the filled in form with necessary papers to Abdullah Al-Mamun Theatre School, 20/1 Shaheed Buddhijibi Munier Chowdhury Sarak (Central Road), Dhaka 1205 latest by February 7.
