Theatre Cycle: Arts, Action, Change launched

Theatre Cycle: Arts, Action, Change is a non-profit arts organisation based in Bangladesh and working in holistic approaches regarding the performing arts since its inception in 2019. This organisation envisions applying performing arts, especially theatre, as panacea for the people of Bangladesh and the world. In pursuance of this desire, Theatre Cycle: Arts, Action, Change was launched at Natmandal Auditorium, University of Dhaka recently.
A drama production titled Roots & Wings by Terry Roueche (Director: Md Abdur Razzak and Shongkar Kumar Biswas) and two conceptual performances performed on the following day.
A galaxy of dignitaries graced the occasion as guests of honour. Distinguished personality Dr Syed Jamil Ahmed, Professor at Department of Theatre and Performance Studies, DU, Dr Israfeel Shaheen, Professor at Department of Theatre and Performance Studies, DU, Sara Zaker, Vice Chairperson at Asiatic 3sixty Group of Co, Dr Zebun Nasreen Ahmed, Professor at Department of Architecture, BUET, Shahman Moishan, Assistant Professor at Department of Theatre and Performance Studies, DU, Fr Patrick D Gaffney, CSC, Vice-Chancellor, Notre Dame University Bangladesh, were present from the honorable advisory panel of Theatre Cycle. Besides, other eminent scholars, theatre and media personalities were also present on the occasion.
