At last, the story behind Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s Chhoy Bekub (six fools) has been revealed. Earlier, several news outlets published that renowned director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki was roaming around the streets of Dhaka with six men. They were wondering what could be his latest project. Was it a film, series or an advertisement? However, it finally found the mystery around the six fools as Farooki himself revealed the details around his latest project.
While talking about his project director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki said, “This is a six-part series advertisement which will showcase popular actors such as Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Mishu Sabbir, Mukit Zakaria, Ziaul Hoque Polash and Shamim Hasan Sarkar acting as six fools. The series advertisement comes as a promotion for the digital financial service of Bangladesh Postal Department called Nagad. Nagad’s creative team worked hard to bring these stories to the screen. We sat with them for hours to finalise the shooting of the advertisement.”
Farooki revealed the inspiration behind the shooting of the advertisement, “We wanted to showcase the qualities of Nagad app through a humoristic angle. This advertisement will showcase how other financial services have been making fools out of people and that Nagad will ensure that they get the right facilities without making a fool out of them.”
Farooki talked about the hurdles that he faced while shooting on the streets of Dhaka. He said, “Through a six part series advertisement, we wanted to portray the stories of various people of our country. We had to face hurdles during shooting in the busy markets of Dhaka. The crowd of enthusiastic people also delayed the whole shooting process a little bit longer. It took us 10 days in a row to finally complete the series after going through an arduous process of shooting, editing and the final voice over.”
