The secretary of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) Mina Masud Uzzaman and President of Dongfang Electric International Corporation (DEC) Luo Zhigang inks a deal on Tuesday at Bidyut Bhaban to set 150MW simple Cycle disel based power plant in Syedpur Upazila of Nilphamary District, aiming uninterrupted electricity supply in the northern regions of the country. Prime Minister’s Energy Adviser Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, State Minister of Power-Energy Nasrul Hamid, Power Secretary Ahmed Kaikaus, BPDB Chairman Khaled Mahmud, among other were present at that time.
