POEM: The death of a flower

block
Sahjahan Kabir :
A flower left the world before it could bloom in full.
The cries of an innocent heart afflicted the world.
The pain echoed hopelessly all around us.
The flower could have one day turned into a seed,
later into a lively tree.
Its premature demise left deep sigh in the wind.
 Why is this cruelty? Why is this brutality?
What pleasure it derived by destroying a flower?
No answer is yet to obtain.

Yet the world is moving forward
with the horrible laughter of the heartless
and the silent pain of the distressed.
Flower! You will remain beautiful forever
to give away your beauty to all hearts;
you do not die ever, you are alive even today
with your charm among all of us.

(Lina Holm, a young girl of 17, was a café worker who disappeared in the afternoon of June 7, 2015 from Lidcoping, a small town in central Sweden. After five days her dead body was found nearby. Like her innumerable innocent girl from various parts of the world disappear frequently and eventually leave the word permanently. This poem is dedicated to all of them)
