Ibne Siraj :
The Middle East is again engulfed into seemingly a never-ending cycle of violence with further bloodshed in Egypt, Syria, Iraq and other neighboring countries while Iran continues to warn against Israel’s plot to fragment and divide the region to better assert Tel Aviv’s own hegemonic power. When politicians, experts and analysts continue to look at the Middle East through political lenses, speaking of territorial hegemony and a race for control over natural resources, Iran remains clear-headed in its assessment. As the Western powers are looking indeed to control the Middle East’s incommensurable wealth, Israel seeks to destroy Islam with the direct backing of the United States and the United Kingdom aided by other anti-Islamic faiths. More dangerous in Israel’s eyes than any political faction could ever be, Islam’s very power, its ability to unite and rally under one flag, communities and creeds, is what truly poses a threat to the Israeli regime.
If the Islamic world ever set aside its differences and stand united under one leadership; Islam would pose a challenge far too great to any entity or alliance that threaten it. Who then could prevent Palestinians from reclaiming the lands of their forefathers? Who would then dare oppose the calls for justice of a nation whose power and numbers far outweigh any others? Just as Muslims are the world’s worst repressed, oppressed, stigmatized and branded “terrorists” for daring express their faith, unity would bring salvation for a broken and divided people. A lost island amid the Islamic world, Israel is sowing discord far and wide across the region. One has only to look at the war raging against political Islam in the Arab world to understand what really is at stake. Iran, the last bastion of the independent Islamic world, the only nation that continues to defy the US and its master puppet the Israeli regime has been branded “the axis of evil.”
These events in the Middle East tell that the US and its allies are trying to repeat history; the relentless movement to global war seems inevitable. History has shown otherwise over the decades as miscalculations, inaction, appeasement or misunderstanding were precursors to World War I and II and many wars since. There’s turmoil throughout the Middle East under different brand names like Arab Spring and the evidence shows the conflicts spreading far and wide. President Obama continues to offer only words instead of doing anything for peace in the Muslim world. As a result, the US foreign policy is in shambles, the proof to which stands clear in respect of Washington’s gradual isolation from rest of the world. However, this is not about Obama or Bush-bashing, this is the history in the Middle East since the World War II that has been earning a continuing string of failures for the US foreign policy.
Dean Rusk, Henry Kissinger, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, Hillary Clinton and now John Kerry – all seem to believe that civilized, rational diplomacy hardly works in a world of deep hatred and religious extremism. Today, this is about the reality of battlefield as Syria is a continuing war-in-progress and they have stomped on and crossed Obama’s line in the sand. Iraq is in a renewed war and must fend for itself, Afghanistan is a war unfinished, Pakistan is taking on the Taliban in some isolated battles, but remains a safe haven for extremists. In Iraq, Syria and Gaza, innocent Muslims are dying in wars but Obama and his colleagues in the West have no say. Even the United Nations except condemning the invaders is doing nothing to protect the life of Muslims in distress in the Arab countries. The United States stands exposed in the eyes of entire world as the number-one terrorist threat to the future of humanity. It is universally clear, as Obama and Bush have taken their country to that line up. As the US prepares to start an overt war on Syria, the world can see the ugly face of Washington’s global model of democracy and human rights.
Under a galvanized cover, the US is a terrorist state, holding democracy, human rights and international law in utter contempt and countless civilians are dying on lame political excuses every year only for Washington’s selfish ends. Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad is, perhaps, not wrong by saying, his country faced aggression for more than two years, but only now the real enemy is revealing itself – the US and its minions. From past wars in the Caribbean, Central America, Philippines, Vietnam and Indochina, through coups and covert ops in Iran, Iraq, Africa, to recent killing fields in Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan and Somalia, the historical picture is now complete. All these conflicts and many more integrate into one indisputable truth. In the past crimes of aggression, the US ruling elite could invoke the spurious cover of “a coalition of the willing”, or the abused authority of UN or NATO. That could be done through deployment of lies, fabrications and a supine mass media that would lend credibility to the mendacity. Now due to critical media and instant global contacts, the US lies don’t work any longer.
The Western media mouthpieces for imperialist propaganda dutifully facilitated Kerry and the US state terrorism with bombastic, important-sounding headlines. Years ago, that kind of herd-think was enough to buy the US warmongers due time to launch a war-but not any more. The world people have reached a critical mass of intolerance towards the rogue terror states of the US, Britain, France, Israel and a few other accomplices. They saw their relentless mass murder and exploitation of fellow humans in Asia, Africa, and the Americas, witnessed how this tiny group of terrorists imposes on the vast majority of humanity their vile criminality. The world people also saw how these rogue states have stolen land, poisoned people’s water, burnt their crops, dispossessed their homes, assassinated families with aerial drones and ground drones in the form of death squads. They have committed all these shocking crimes with lies and impunity to the point where now these state terrorists are operating in more than one country simultaneously in a permanent state of relentless war, pushing the very future of humanity to the brink.
Recently, British parliament voted against its government’s arrogance to provide usual criminal special link with the US. In the execution of past war crimes in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya, the US could rely on the British imperialist to give a veneer of “coalition of the willing”. Premier David Cameron’s plans to repeat the criminality by backing the US plans to bomb Syria were dealt a crushing blow by British parliament voting against such military actions. British parliament’s vote is not so ethical like Britain’s politicians; it is more reflective of the global awakening that this insane state terrorism must stop. France has backed off bellicose bravado, with President Francois Hollande lately calling for a “peaceful political solution” to the Syrian crisis. The US puppet Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has said his country will not get involved militarily in Syria. Even NATO’s 10 members are not willing to support American strikes. So, the rational stand of countries like Russia, China, Iran and majority nations in Asia, Africa and the Americas must be taken into cognizance.
The world has had it with elite Western rulers acting as terrorists and holding humanity to ransom, presiding over military terrorism and inflicting economic, social and ecological terrorism with their bankrupt capitalist smash-and-grab system. That system has reached the point of meltdown and other nations are being pushed into relentless wars. The right job to end wars is crushing the economic system of Western rulers and US. The insane criminality of US on Syria exposes this historic challenge facing humanity. After the British parliamentary setback, US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said: “Our approach is to continue to find a global coalition that will act together. It is the goal of President Obama and our government…whatever decision is taken, that it be an international collaboration and effort.” Can anybody believe how ridiculous these Americans puppets sound? What the deluded Americans do not seem to realize is that they are on their own. The only entities willing to support their aggression on Syria is Saudi Arabia and Israel and Washington can muster it from a feudal, sword-wielding, head-chopping regime and a criminal pariah genocidal state.
