A sub-inspector of police reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself at the district police lines on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Nazlar Rahman, hailing from Baradaha village in Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha district.
Officer-in-charge of Thakurgaon Sadar Police Station Sifayatul Mazdar said police recovered the hanging body from a room of the police lines barrack in the evening and sent it to morgue for autopsy.
SI Nazlar might have killed himself over family feud, the OC added.
