Thailand’s hopes for the Asian Games suffered a blow when they were informed midfielder Jakkaphan Pornsai could not compete in South Korea next month after being omitted from the country’s player list. The experienced 27-year-old Suphanburi FC player had been tipped by Thai media to captain the team at the Games. “We wanted to have Jakkaphan join, but the Olympic Committee said that he couldn’t because his name was not on the list.”
