Chittagong Bureau :
A delegation from Thailand Renong Port and Renong Chamber of Commerce & Industries led by Governor of Renong province Acting Sub Lieutenant Chardsak Jampathas jointly met with the Acting Chairman of Chittagong Port Authority Mohd. Nazrul Islam and other senior officers at the Board Room of CPA yesterday.
Commodore M. Shajahan (Member Harbor & Marine) showed the operational activities by power point presentation. Commerce Adviser of Thailand in Bangladesh Jasim U Ahmed informed the official of Chittagong Port about Renong port.
The delegate hoped that if the Government of Bangladesh take necessary measures by signing a memorandum of understanding about the possibility to operate shipping service directly from Renong Port to Chittagong Port .
Members of Chittagong Port Authority ,Honorary Consul General of Thailand Amir Humayun Mahmud Chy, Divisional Head of CPA took part in the discussion.
