A three-day international apparel exhibition ‘Texworld USA’ will begin at Javits Convention Center in New York, the USA on July 23.
“Like in the past, Bangladeshi business entities will take part in the tradeshow for promoting Bangladeshi products in the USA market,” Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Deputy Director Abu Mukhles Alamgir Hossain said.
Alongside the exhibition, ‘Apparel Sourcing USA’ and ‘Home Textiles Sourcing USA’ will also be held.
Messe Frankfurt, a large trade fair organiser, is organising the event to highlight over 16 product groups, ensuring the largest possible variety of quality, affordable products for all apparel end-uses.
Through the exhibition, Rummana Afroze, head of operation of the Messe Frankfurt SP Bangladesh, said Bangladesh can take the advantages of the changing economic condition in the USA and its market restrictions to China.
“The fair is a unique opportunity to increase the market share in the USA,” she added.
She informed that the last edition of Texworld USA had more than 750 exhibitors and around 7,000 visitors from all over the world.
Rummana said the participation of Bangladeshi companies in the fair would be beneficial for enhancing the country’s exports.
In the exhibition, manufacturers will exhibit many products, including cotton denim, embroidery, fibers, functional fabrics, polyester or man-made, prints, silks, wool, yarns, active wear, children wear, menswear, women’s wear, accessories, collections and contemporary.
