Textile festival and exhibition of Southeast University (SEU) was held recently at its permanent premises playground at Tejgaon Industrial and Commercial Area in the city.
Department of Textile Engineering organized this colorful festival which was attended by a good number of teachers and students of the university.
SEU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Anwar Hossain inaugurated the festival as Chief Guest, while President of Institution of Textile Engineers and Technologists (ITET) Engr. Md Shamsuzzaman and Chairman of International Events of The Textile Institute- Manchester John T Smith were present respectively as Special Guest and Guest of Honor.
SEU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Md Humayun Kabir Chowdhury presided over the inaugural session of the festival. Dean (Acting) SSE and Chairman of the Department of Textile Engineering Prof Syed Fakhrul Hassan was delivered welcome address.
Students of the department organized a fashion show and cultural program at the venue in the evening which was enjoyed by a good number of teachers, students and SEU officials. Textile Products were shown at a day-long exhibition taken place at the playground where a number of companies attended with their stalls.
