Distribution of free textbook among the students of primary, secondary schools and madrasas inaugurated in the district on Tuesday.
 Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi Seyda Farhana Kawnine formally inaugurated the Textbook Festival with distribution free text books among a number of secondary schools, madrasa and primary students in the town .
The schools are Narsingdi Ideal High School, Nasingdi Government Boys’ High School, Narsingdi Government Girls’ High School, Satirpara Kali Kumer High School and Pashware Goasia Madrasha.
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Saiful Islam, District Education Officer (secondary) Harun-or-Rashid and District Primary Education Officer Fazlul Hoque were present in the programme.
Meanwhile the Upazila Nirbahi Officers also inaugurated he text books festival in the upazilas with the distribution new books among the numbers of primary, secondary and madrasas students.
As many as 49,00,000 free text books would be distributed among the students of 778 primary schools, 238 secondary schools and 88 madrasas on Tuesday in the district in the academic year 2019.
Staff Reporter from Kishoreganj reports: The Textbook Festival marking the distribution of free text books among the primary, high school and madrasha students were celebrated in 13 upazilas in Kishoreganj on Tuesday.
DC Md. Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury and Police Super Md. Mashrokur Rahman Khaled BPM inaugurated it as Chief and special guest while ADC (Edu. And ICT) Abdullah-Al-Masud chaired at S.V Government Girls’ School in the town on Tuesday morning.
It was addressed among others by DEO Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Headmaster Md. Abdullah, SV Girls’ School Headmistress Shahnaze Kabir and Gurdian Awami League Leader Masum Khan.
At least 70 lakhs free textbooks were distributed 8,37,310 students among the Primary, High School and Madrasha level students in Kishoreganj district.
Kishoreganj Police Lines School arranged a free book distribution programme at its play ground. Police Super Md. Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM attended as chief guest while School Headmaster Khaleda Islam in the chair. Additional S.P (Promoted S.P) Nazmul Islam, Additional SP Shafiqul Islam were attended as special guest.
District Primary Education arranged a free book distribution programmed at Kumudini Govt. Primary School ground. Deputy Commissioner Md Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury, Zila Parished CEO Shibir Bichitra Barua, ADC (Edu. & ICT) Abdullab-Al-Masud attended as chief and special guest while DPO Md. Sazzad Hossain presided over .
Dupchanchia (Bogura) Correspondent adds: Textbook Festival, marking the distribution of free textbooks among school and madrasa students, was celebrated in Dupchanchia upazila under Bogura district on Tuesday.
A good number of school children joined the festivity at schools and madrasas across the upazila to receive books free of cost for their new classes on the first day of the New Year.
Upazila Nirbahi officer SM Zakir Hossain has begun handing over of newly printed books among students at Shapla High School. On the other hand principal of Dupchanchia Sammilito Pre-cadet School Emdadul Haque also distributes books as part of country.
