Text books for madrasha, primary and secondary school curriculum for 2020 academic year already reached Chattogram in the meantime one month’s ahead of beginning of next academic year.
Out of total demands of 1,53,87,716 books for Chattogram district, about 90 percent of the demands already arrived in district education office and upazila education offices recently. Concerned upazila and thana education offices are sending these books to the respective schools and madrashas .
According to district education office, Education Officer Md. Jasimuddin told BSS that the remaining books will be sent to respective education offices by next week. The books consists of 3,56,770 for Abtedaiyee class to class V of madrashas, 1,57,500 for class VI to Dakhil class, 7,52,900 for secondary schools from Class VI to Nine . 9,850 english version books for English medium students. There are demands for text books for vocational and technical classes in Chattogram -based vocational and technical school are 30,500 books in the district.
District EO Md. Jasimuddin told BSS that total demands of books against the 11,87,754 students in the district for 2020 academic year. He also informed that out of total demands, 90 percent books already reached in the concerned education offices of Chattogram district.
