Rauzan Thana police forces arrested a terrorist with arms and ammunition from Sultanpur poura area under Raozan upazila on Saturday night. The detained identified as
Krishna Prasad Ghosh alias Pankaj (30), who was arrested as a terrorist.A police team led by OC of Raozan Thana Kepayeta Ullah, SI Al-Amin, Saimul, ASI Shahjahan Nayan , acting on a tip-off, conducted raid at Daiyarghata area at night and managed to apprehend the terrorist red handed with arms. Police recovered one pistol with 5 rounds bullet from his possession.
Raozan Thana OC Kepayeta Ullah told that the terrorist Pankaj alongwith other accomplices were assembled in the spot aimed at commutting crimes in the area but acting on secret information,we instantly conducted raid in the area and managed to apprehend him with arms. Sensing the presence of the law enforcers , other accomplices of Pankaj quickly escaped from the spot. Sources said Pankaj was arrested on charges of gold trafficking one years ago at Chittagong Shah Amanat Airport A case under arms act has been filed before the Raozan thana aginst him, sorces said.
