Staff Reporter :The Criminal Investigation Department [CID] of police in West Bengal has arrested Molla Masud, a most wanted criminal of Bangladesh.Police Headquarters in a press release on Sunday evening said Interpol’s New Delhi Office has already confirmed the arrest of Molla Masud to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police authority.Molla Masud, one of the 21 top listed terrorists in Dhaka’s underworld, is accused in several cases filed with Ramna Police Station in the capital.The procedure to bring him back from India is underway, the press release added.Assistant Inspector General of Police Mahbub said Masud was arrested on February 8 but the news could be confirmed officially from the Delhi Interpol on Sunday as he was the real Molla Masud.”He was the fugitive wanted in the red list of INTERPOL and he was hiding in India for long time,” he added.Meanwhile, State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Sunday said Masud would be brought back soon under the extradition treaty, signed between Bangladesh and India in 2013.
