Tenure of Shakib Khan and Amit Hasan as President and General Secretary of Bangladesh Film Actor’s Association respectively will end today successfully. On February 7, 2015 Shakib-Amit led committee started its journey. Before completing their tenure all the leaders of Actors Association took part in a meeting on February 5. In the meeting, successes of Shakib-Amit’s committee were discussed. Today their tenure will be finished officially. Within 90 days the biannual election of the Actors Association will be held.
Omar Sani-Ilias Kobra and Misha-Zayed panels are now working in the campaign for the posts of President and General Secretary respectively. While talking about their successes Shakib told this correspondent, “As President of Bangladesh Film Actors Association, I have tried my level best effort to stand behind all the actors specially for the destitute actors. I am always with the actors and shall always work for them.”
Amit Hasan said, “When it became necessary to take any important decision I always talked with Shakib before taking any important decision. Shakib has performed his duties properly. I think I am also successful general secretary of the Association.”
It is mentioned that Shakib Khan first elected as President of the Association on May 25 in 2011. During that time Misha Sawdagor was in the post of its
General Secretary.
