Tendons of BCL activist cut in Sharankhola

Tendons of the both legs of a Chhatra League activist named Mahadi Hasan Nabin of village Khontakata under Sharankhola Upazila in the district were cut off by some of his opponents on Saturday in a broad day light following a trifling matter.
 As a result, he was fatally injured and was admitted to Sharankhola Upazila Health Complex for his treatment. But considering the gravity of his health condition he was shifted from there to Khulna Medical College Hospital for better treat
It is learnt from Md. Shahjahan Molla, father of the victim that an altercation took place between some Chatra League leaders and some others in a Tafsir Mahfil held in the village on Friday. Following the incidents on Saturday at about 10-30 am some 7/8 wicked fellows led by Masum and Ranju appeared in front of his house and called out him from his residence.. As soon as Nabin reached there they (the wicket fellows) fell on him, inflicted cut injuries on his body and at last cut off the tendons of his both legs.
As a mark of protest of the incident the local people blockaded Dhaka- Sharankhola via Sanyasi Road.
Being informed of the matter Upazila Nirbahi Officer K.M.Mamunuzzama appeared there and brought the situation under control. But it could not be known whether any case was lodged with the local PS or not in connection with the incident .Nabin is a student of Degree 1st of Sharankhola Degree College.
