At least 10 more persons were killed and several others critically injured in separate road crashes across the country on Sunday.
In Mymensingh, at least three people of a family including a couple and one of their son were killed when a private car overturned on Mymensingh-Sherpur Road in Alalpur area of Mymensingh around 7am Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Hamim, 60, Sahera Begum, 55, and Shafiku Islam, 40.
The family was from Gaibandha district. They were en-route to Dhaka for treatment. Ujjal Kanti Sarker, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Kotwali Model Police Station confirmed the matter to media.
In Tangail, at least two persons were killed and two others injured when a train rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at a level crossing in Kalihati upazila on Thursday.
Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Mosharraf Hossain, Officer in-Charge (OC) of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station told the matter to the media.
In Gazipur, a pedestrian was killed when a coverdvan rammed him at Konabari in Gazipur City Corportion area on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Nizamudduin Mridha, 38, from Natun bazaar area. He was a RMG worker.
Rafiqul Islam, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Konabari Police Station told the matter to media.
In Dinajpur, a fifth grader student was killed when a tractor rammed him in Parbatipur upazila of the district on Thursday.
The accident took place at Singimari Gorepara Lakshanpur area under Rampur union of the upazila around 10:30 am.
Mokhlesur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Parbatipur Model Police Station, told Media.
In Cox’s Bazar, a truck helper was killed when another truck hit the vehicle on the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar Highway in Meherghona area of early Thursday. The deceased couldn’t be identified instantly.
Tulatuli Highway Police Inspector Mujahidul Islam confirmed the matter to media.
In Narsingdi, a supervisor of a bus was killed and 12 others critically injured in bus Accident at Khalaerchar area under Shibpur upazila of the district.
The deceased was identified as Shopon Mia, 45.
Abul Kalam Azad, Officer in-Charge (OC) of Shibpur Police Station told the news media.
In Brahmanbaria, a Security guard named Salahuddin, 35, was killed in a road crash at Nondonpur area on the Cumilla-Sylhet Highway on Thursday.
Hossain Sarker, Officer in-Charge of Highway Police confirmed the news to media.
