At least 10 more people were killed and several others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Sunday.
In Dhaka (Keraniganj), two persons including the driver and a passenger of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw were killed when a bus struck the vehicle in Abdullahpur stand area under South Keraniganj of Dhaka on Sunday.
The details of deceased couldn’t be known instantly.
Hasara Highway Police Outpost Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Morshed Talukder confirmed the news of incident.
In Bogura, two people were killed in road crash when a pick-up van rammed an auto-rickshaw on the Bogura-Namuja Highway of the district on Saturday night.
The deceased were identified as Shamsur Rahman and Anisur Rahman, both were the inhabitants of sadar upazila,
Bogura Sadar Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter.
In Panchagarh, a tractor driver and one of his helper died when the brick-laden vehicle overturned on the Panchagarh-Dhaka Highway in Vimpukuri area of Boda upazila.
They were identified as Monsur Alam, 35, the driver, and Shatish Chandra Barman, 38. They were declared dead after being taken to Panchagarh Adhunik Sadar Hospital, said witnesses.
In Gopalganj, a youth was killed when a pickup van rammed a human hauler in Kongshur in Sadar upazila of Gopalganj on Sunday.
Deceased Kamrul Islam, 25, was a construction worker of Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board.
Gopalganj Sadar Police Station OC Md Monirul Islam confirmed the incident.
In Noakhali, A motorcyclist named Rafiul Islam, 25, was killed and 15 others were seriously injured when a vehicle hit his bike in Hatiya upazila of the district. The accident took place at stadium area of the upazila around 12 pm on Sunday.
Kamruzzaman Sikder, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hatiya Police Station confirmed the incident to media.
In Sherpur, a female named Minara Begum,40, was killed when a truck hit her on the way to Sadar Hospital of the district.
The accident occurred on the Sherpur-Jhinaigati Road of sadar upazila around 12 pm on Sunday.
