Ten killed in road accidents

At least 10 people including a BGB member were killed in separate road accidents across the country on Wednesday.
Of them, four died in Tangail, three in Sylhet, two in Mymensing and the BGB member in Chattogram.
In Mymensingh, a battery-powered auto-rickshaw was hit by a pickup van at Shahartoli Shikarikanda on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, resulting in the death of two passengers of the auto rickshaw instantly.
Mahmudul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Model Police Station confirmed the News to Media.
The victims, identified as Bacchu Miah, 45, Saiful Islam, 30, were from Vatibabera village under the Sadar upazila.
 In Tangail, four persons were killed in a road crash between two trucks near the Bangabandhu Bridge under Highway in Kalihati upazila of Tangail district early Wednesday.
The deceased couldn’t be identified immediately. All of them were from Dinajpur, said police.
Mosharaf Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station told the media that a Dhaka-bound truck from North Bengal collided head-on with another truck on the highway at Soratoil , leaving three persons dead on the spot and another injured.
The injured person succumbed to injuries in the hospital, added the OC.
In Sylhet, three persons were killed when a truck rammed an auto-rickshaw in the Sylhet city on Wednesday.The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Locals said the accident happened at 3:30pm at the entrance of Sylhet city leaving two auto-rickshaw passengers dead on spot and another one died on way to hospital.
Khairul Fazle, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sylhet Dkashin Surma police station told the media that the deceased were all passengers of the auto-rickshaw.
In Chattogram, a member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) died after being hit by a truck at Oxygen intersection of the city on Wednesday.
The deceased, identified as Md Aman Ullah, 28, son of Mozzamel Haque, from Purbodholoy area of Hathazari Upazila.
The BGB member was declared dead on admission to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH). Alauddin Talukder, Sub Inspector of Police outpost of the Hospital confirmed the news.
