At least three temples were reportedly vandalized in Nikli upazila of Kishoreganj on Tuesday night.
A gang of miscreants vandalized the temples at the Bhavanipur Kalibari Mondir in Nikli Haor area of Kishoreganj on Tuesday night.
Police arrested five persons in this connection, identified as local Union Parishad member (UP member) Tajul Islam (36), Uttam Barmon (35), Pappu Barman (30), Narendra Barman (32) and Suruj Ali (42).
Locals said that the attack took place over Mondir committee grouping, supremacy.
Confirming the matter, OC Shamsul Alam Siddique said a case has yet to be filed regarding the incident.
Hindu community people staged a demonstration protesting the incident.
