Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Sunday predicted that day and night temperature might fall slightly over the country.
The Met office also forecast rain or thunder showers at a few places over country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00am Sunday.
“Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna and Barishal divisions; at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions,” said a met office press release issued on Sunday morning.
The country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded by 37.0 degree Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division and minimum temperature Sunday was recorded by 23.2 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00am on Sunday was recorded by 27 millimeters (mm) at Khulna.
The sun sets at 5:31pm on Sunday and rises at 5:58am on Monday in the capital.
