Teletalk to use BL Biometric devices for SIM verification

Customers of the state-owned cellular phone operator Teletalk will be able to use Banglalink (BL) Biometric devices for SIM registration and verification.
To this end, Banglalink and Teletalk on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the device sharing at Posts and Telecommunication Ministry in presence of State Minister for Post and Telecommunications Tarana Halim.
Managing Director and CEO of Banglalink Erik Aas and Gias Uddin Ahmed and Managing Director of Teletalk put pen on the paper on behalf of their respective organisations.
Tarana Halim said, “I believe Biometric verification of all subscribers is vital for the security of the country and now with this partnership the verification process for the Teletalk subscribers will also be happening fast.”
Erik Aas said, “I am happy to be partnering with Teletalk for sharing our Biometric verification devices as we believe in growing together as an industry. I do believe that through this partnership we can work on many other opportunities in the future”.
Gias Uddin Ahmed said, “Teletalk is delighted to partner with Banglalink in sharing their Biometric verification devices and believe this is a very good step of Banglalink for taking the initiative of working and helping a locally government owned telecom operator”.
