Staff Reporter :
The employees of state-owned Teletalk Bangladesh Limited have threatened to none stop strike from August 7, if their salary would not hike 100 percent as Per Pay Scale 2015.
The announcement came from a procession which was brought out in front of the Mobile Operator Head Office in Banani on Tuesday.
Teletalk Employees Welfare Association (TEWA) arranged the procession in Dhaka and across the country before its offices.
General Secretary of TEWA Kamruzzaman told media that Pay Scale 2015 has already been implemented in all the government-owned companies, only Teletalk is showing negligence in this regard.
He claimed that the employees stopped the procession programme as the Teletalk authorities have given commitment to solve the matter within July 31. But they failed to take any decision.
The employees have been serving in Teletalk in lower payment and they are waiting for implementing Pay Scale 2015. The company is making profit but the authorities are depriving the employees, Kamruzzaman said.
He also demanded to make balance of Teletalk’s salary structure like other mobile operator in the country.
