Telenor Digital has announced launch of its Instant Messaging (IM) app ‘Comoyo’ on Sunday, says a press release.
Frode E Vestnes, Vice President of Telenor Digital announced it while addressing a press conference at a city hotel.
The IM app will serve the Bangladeshi customers with tailored features including Bangla stickers targeting the Bangladeshi youth culture.
The internet has opened up a vast array of communication channels. It started out with simple text-based emails and has since evolved into a plethora of communication platforms that allows expression in the most creative of ways.
Bangladeshi youngsters have already adopted different communication tools in their daily life but many users still feel there is something missing.
The other messaging apps are mostly developed in the West and have English interfaces, which mean a large segment of the Bangla-speaking youth is deprived of the language familiarity they seek in a messenger app.
“Compared to the large number of apps available on the Internet, there are very few tailor-made specifically for Bangladeshi users. Comoyo is one of the results of our tireless endeavors to make Internet fun and productive for the Bangladeshi users,” said Frode E. Vestnes, Vice President at Telenor Digital.
