A teenage boy has been stabbed to death allegedly by his friends in Savar, on the outskirts of capital Dhaka following a conflict over love affair.
Deceased 17, was the son of Abdus Sobhan in Ulail Karnapara area. He was an SSC examinee from Rodela Kindergarten School. Meanwhile, police arrested an accused in this connection. Rohan’s cousin said Rohan had an affair with a girl who used to be harassed
by some of his friends. Over the issue Rohan and Hridoy locked in a conflict, he added.
As a sequel, Hridoy, son of Jhantu Mia in Mollikar Tek area, and his friends stabbed Rohan in Savar Bank Colony area around 8pm on Saturday.
Rohan was rushed to Enam Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Police, in a raid, arrested Hridoy from the house of a relative in Dhamrai poura area early morning on Sunday, said Saiful Islam, inspector (investigation) of Savar Model Police Station.
A hunt is on to nab the other culprits, he added.
