A teenager was hacked to death by some unidentified miscreants in the city’s Eidgaon Balur Math of Shah Ali area of Mirpur in the small hours of Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Kamal Hossain, 15, son of Hamid Mia in the area, police said.
Quoting relatives, Md Bachchu Mia, Sub-Inspector of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) Police Camp said that Kamal was brought to Emergency Department of the DMCH at around 12:30am and the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
A case was filed with the Shah Ali Police Station in this connection.
