A school student went missing in the Bay of Bengal at Anowara upazila in Chattogram city on recently.
The boy was identified as Mohammad Minhaz, 14, son of Md Ali, hailing from Fatikchhari upazila, said Dulal Mitra, station officer at Anowara fire service.
Dulal said he was visiting Parki sea beach and went missing while bathing in the sea around 10am.
Being informed, firefighters rushed to the spot and began the rescue operation. Three divers were searching for the body at the time of filing of the report. Minhaz was a class nine student at a local high school.
