A teen aged boy named Shaheen Sardar (14), son of one Kalam Sardar, a day labourer of village
Char-Hoglapasha under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district was allegedly hacked and beaten to death by some miscreants in the village over a trifling matter at Wednesday night.
It is learnt from the police and the locals that an enmity had been prevailing between the father of the boy and his some neighbouring relatives over the fixing of the demarcation line of their homesteads for long. At the night the alleged neighbourers attacked the boy, inflicted cut injures on his person and beat him mercilessly with sharp knives and lethal weapons.
As a result, the boy was fatally injured. At about 12 pm, the boy was recovered from there and rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead. In this connection a case was registered with Morrelganj PS and a housewife was arrested so far in connection with the matter. K M Azizul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Morrelganj PS admitted the fact to the newsmen.
