A ninth-grader was allegedly raped after being lured in by job offers in the capital’s Uttar Khan on Sunday .
Police have arrested one Shah Alam after the victim lodged a complaint with Uttar Khan Police Station, said Sub-Inspector Mokbul Hossain.
The victim, 14 is undergoing treatment at the One-Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), the police official said.
Shah Alam allegedly lured the girl, from a poor family, with a job offer in a garment factory and took her to a house in Sujar Para and raped her there, the SI said.
According to the policeman, the arrestee has primarily admitted his crime.
