UNB, Gazipur :
Police recovered the hanging body of a female garment worker from her rented house at Purba Kalemshwarer in the city on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Sumi Akhter,16, daughter of late Samir Uddin of Mallikpur village in Pirganj upazila of Thakurgaon district.
She was a worker of ‘Man’s Apparels’ of Uttar Kaliakoir area in the city. Being informed by locals, police recovered the hanging body of Sumi in the morning from her rented house’s toilet, said police. The body was sent to Gazipur Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. However, the reason behind the suicide could not be known.
