Police recovered the body of a teenage boy from Gabtoli area in the capital on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Md Shahadat Hossain, 18, son of Hafizul Islam of Ranigonj in Naogaon district.
He came to Dhaka from Naogaon recently and he had been living at a rented house at Baghbari Uttarapara with his father Hafiz, said police quoting family members of the deceased.
On information, a team Darus Salam Thana police went to Gabtoli Balurmath
at about 12:45 pm and recovered the body, said Inspector (Investigation) of the police station Faruk-ul-Alam.
Marks of multiple stab injuries were found on different parts of the victim’s body, he said. The body was kept at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
