A teen aged girl (14) was allegedly gang-raped by some miscreants in the village Par Gobindapur within Ujalkur Union under Rampal Upazila in Bagerhat on Sunday night, according to a delayed report received here.
In this connection a case was lodged with Rampal PS against 6 persons under Women and Children Repression Act.
According to the case registered with Rampal PS that a man hailed from Paidgachi in Jessore district went to the house of his relative named Shaheen Shaikh of village Par Gobindapur within Ujalkur Union accompanied with his wife and a teen aged daughter on Sunday in order to pay visit there. But at the night the girl was abducted from the house at night by Moja Shaik, Jamal Shaikh and another debauch of the locality and committed gang-rape on her forcibly. Then they handed over the girl to 3 other young men of the adjacent Ransen village. They also committed gang-rape on the girl forcibly. Being informed of the matter one Abdus Salam Hawladar of the locality and his associates rushed to the spot, caught Rabiul Gazi, one of the rapists and handed over him to SI Alamgir Hossain, In- charge of Foilahat police outpost.
