A teen age boy was slaughtered by unidentified miscreants at Mankia village under Benapole port police station on Monday night. Police recovered the body from a field at around 12 noon on Tuesday, Apurba Hasan, officer in-charge, Benapole port police station said.
The dead was identified as Omar Farik, 14, student of Class -X at Kudlarhat Junior High School and also son of Haider Ali of Sarbanhuda village under Benapole port police station.
Asgar Ali, maternal uncle of the dead told newsmen that the boy had been going missing since Monday evening. The body was found slaughtered in field. But it was not known why he was killed.
