Technical, vocational edn for dev emphasised

State Minister for Science and Technology Architect Yeafesh Osman on Sunday at a seminar emphasized on technical and vocational education to foster development of the country.
“Every profession and work have dignity. So, there is no scope for negating any profession and work,” he added. Skills Development Project of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) organised the seminar marking the Technical and Vocational Education Week-2014 in city’s CIRDAP auditorium. The minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reached information technology to the mass people to build “digital Bangladesh”.
He said the government is working relentlessly to bring the new technology to the doorsteps of country’s mass people. Professor Dr Ali Asgar, Fellow of Bangladesh Academy of Science, presented the keynote paper while Khandaker M Asaduzzaman, secretary of the ministry, chaired the discussion. National Professor Dr M R Khan, former professor of Dhaka University Dr Mohammad Ibrahim, Institution of Engineers’ Bangladesh President Dr Eng. M Shamim Z Basunia and Institution of Diploma Engineers’ Bangladesh general secretary M Shamsur Rahman took part in the discussion.
