Fisheries and Livestock Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda said technical education can make the society free from unemployment.
Bangladesh is now a global role model for women education, empowerment and employment, he said.
He said this on Saturday while speaking as the chief guest at the laying of foundation stone of a government technical college at Dumuria upazila.Saying that the government has already made a public school and a college in each upazila, he added the government is working to attain global standard quality education for all.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to develop country’s every sector including education in planned way, he said, adding that the new generation must be educated with technical education to turn Bangladesh into a develop country by 2041 .
Dumuria UNO Shahnewaz Begum chaired the function while executive engineer of education engineering department Rezaul Islam, AL leader Shah Newaz Hossain Zoarder, Principal of Dumuria College Dhanewswar Gowsami, among others, addressed it.
The construction work of the college involving Taka 15.47 crore will be completed within the next 18 months.
