Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir on Monday expressed the hope of recovering the full amount of the bank’s heist fund from the Philippines.
A joint team of BB and CID is leaving for Manila tonight to complete the formalities to get back another US$1.2 million out of US$ 81 million heist fund, he said this while announcing the BB’s new monetary policy.
Authorities of Philippines earlier retuned US$14.54 million to Bangladesh out of the total heist fund. “Process is underway to get return of another $6.0 million.
