Bouncing back from behind, Team BJMC shocked last year’s treble-winner Sheikh Russel KC beating them by 2-1 goals in a 2nd leg match of the Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Friday.
By virtue of the day’s well-merited victory, team BJMC advanced to the 6th slot in the league table securing 18 points from 16 matches.
Sheikh Russel KC, which emerged unbeaten Group A champions to reach the final round of the AFC President’s Cup in Colombo recently as the first Bangladesh side, went down to the 7th place in the league table with 16 points from 13 matches to continue their dismal performance in the ongoing league.
In the day’s match, Mohammad Robin put Russel KC ahead in the 23rd minute while Ismail restored the parity for BJMC in the 40th minute.
