Terming the teaching profession as an art, International Islamic University (IIUC) vice-chancellor Prof Dr Azharul Islam argued the faculty members to obtain the art and to acquire self-development.
He was addressing an orientation program, held for the newly recruited teachers at campus on Sunday.
With acting Pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Delowar Hossain in chair, the orientation program was also addressed with Prof Dr Quazi Deen Mohammad, director of SDASBUD and also the chair of board of trustees; registrar colonel (retired) Mohammad Quashek PSC among others.
Associate Prof Dr Mohammad Aktaruzzaman Khan, director of research and publications center of IIUC conducted the orientation program.
“Those, who want to involve themselves in teaching profession, must know how to create desire for knowledge among the students and what is the first and foremost duty of faculty members,” Dr Azharul also added.
