As part of the national program teachers of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) are observing work abstention on Tuesday morning.
The programme began around 9am and it will continued till 5pm on Thursday (today).
Earlier on Monday, a faction of pro-Awami League teachers observed work abstention demanding immediate removal of its Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Aminul Haque Bhuyan.
They postponed their agitation programme for Monday for the death of a student of the university.
IU Correspondent adds: Islamic University Teachers’ Association (IUTA) called a daylong work abstention programme yesterday.
IUTA President Prof Dr Mizanur Rahman confirmed the information and told The New Nation, we actually call the work abstention program for protesting the irresponsible and inconsistent speech of Finance Minister A M A Muhit about us about movement.
