Teachers urged to work for dev of Bangladesh

Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Deputy Speaker Advocate M Fazle Rabbi Mian said the teachers are the conscience of the nation and they are the most respected persons in society. He urged the teachers to work from their respective positions for development of Bangladesh as a prosperous country.
The contribution of teaches in nation building is indescribable, he said this on Wednesday while speaking as the chief guest at an open discussion in the city organized by National Academy for Education Management (NAEM) for education cadre officials of 32nd BSC exams.
NAEM Director General Prof M. Hamidul Haq and other officials were present at the discussion meeting titled “Bangladesh Legislature”, said an official press release.
The Deputy Speaker discussed activities of parliament, including law making, role of parliament members, activities of parliamentary standing committees, role of parliament in institutionalization of democracy in Bangladesh and coordination of activities between ministries and parliament.
The trainee teachers asked various questions to the Deputy Speaker about the activities of parliament. In reply, the Deputy Speaker gave clear explanations of all relevant issues.
