Minister for Primary and Mass Education Mostafizur Rahman MP said the present government has enhanced dignity and honour of the teachers through increasing their salaries. “The present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly to ensure quality education,” he said and called for making the time-befitting modern education system effective in turning our children into worthy citizens.
The Minister called upon the teachers for seeing all children like their own sons and daughters and sought cooperation of all concerned for preventing school dropouts in building a self-reliant educated Bangladesh ensuring education for all.
He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the newly built office building for Rangpur Divisional Office of the Directorate of Primary Education at its premises in the city as the chief guest. City Mayor and valiant freedom fighter Sarfuddin Ahmed Jhantu, Deputy Commissioner Md. Rahat Anwar, President of city Awami League Shafiur Rahman Shafi and its General Secretary Tushar Kanti Mandal addressed as special guests.
Divisional Deputy Director of the Directorate of Primary Education Mohiuddin Ahmed Talukder presided over the occasion participated by officials of the education-related departments, politicians, teachers, civil society members and local elite.
Narrating the epoch-making success achieved by the present government in education sector, the Minister said the Prime Minster is totally committed to ensure quality primary education and has nationalised thousands of primary schools.
He called upon the education officials, teachers and school managing committee members, mothers and guardians for proper implementation of the primary education management system through inspiring everybody in the society.
Terming mothers as the best teachers for their kids, the Minister especially urged them to take proper care of their children with maximum love and affection as the children always learn the lessons best from their mothers.
He directed the primary school teachers for making classes interesting for the children to ensure quality education and carrying forward a noble movement towards making the new generation as worthy, honest, efficient and properly educated citizens.
