Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar urged all teachers to enhance the digital skills of their students.
“It would be difficult for the students to survive in the digital age if they cannot develop their skills in digital technology through proper education…So you have to build them as digital students,” he said.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of a month-long program organized on Sunday by IUBAT on the occasion of 31st founding anniversary of IUBAT, a private university in the city, said a press release.
“We must take the utmost initiative to make them suitable for the future,” said the minister, calling upon all concerned, including teachers, to take the lead in this regard.
“If we do not develop our huge population as human resources, it will be a serious crisis for us,” he said, adding, “It is possible to get rid of this problem through digital transformation of education”.
The vice-chancellor and registrar of the university spoke on the occasion.
