Teachers urged to discharge duties with sincerity

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid urged teachers to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication to improve quality of education.
“Teachers are the main force for making perfect human-being through providing real education,” he said this on Thursday while speaking at a function of stipend distribution among degree level students here, an official release said. Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Md Sohrab Hossain and Director General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Dr SM Prof Wahiduzzaman, among others, addressed the function with Managing Director of Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust Fund Md Nurul Amin in the chair. Nahid said, “A significant change has been brought in expansion of female education in the country as the government has made various facilities, including financial assistances to boost female education.” Now both male and female students are equally advancing in the education sector, he also added. A total of 2, 54,533 students at degree and equivalent levels are getting stipends under Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust Fund, the release added.
Of the total, 1,92,054 are female students and 62,488 are male students.
