Teachers urged to create cleanliness awareness among students

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokan urged the teachers to create awareness among the students to keep the city clean for making clean Dhaka.
“I urge all of you to create awareness among the students about cleanliness as well as environment to make the city clean for making clean Dhaka, he said this on Tuesday while speaking at a view exchange meeting at Officers’ Club on the Baily Road in the city.
DSCC organized the view exchange meeting with the chiefs of different educational institutions to create awareness among the students and their guardians. A total 450 headmasters attended the meeting.
Khokan said about 1.50 crore people are living in DSCC area while many people are coming in the area for their livelihood and this area is the world’s most densely populated area.
“But, we don’t think about the Dhaka city. We need to be more aware regarding the city cleanliness,” he added.
DSCC Chief Executive Officer Khan Mohammad Billal, Chief Waste Manager Air Commodore Shafiul Alam, Chief Health Officer Brigadier General Sheikh Salahuddin, Education Officer Mainul Hossain, Principal Bornali Hossain, Teacher Riaz Parvez, Councilors Mosharraf Hossain, Abu Ahmed Mannafi and Mostafa Kamal, among others, addressed the meeting.
